ANXIETY
RELIEF TECHNIQUES ™(ART)
You
may be reading this because you want to stop smoking,
lose weight, remove phobias, stress, sleep better,
or help heal some disabling illness. Maybe even
to improve your golf or tennis game. We help people
with each of these issues and more (including Post Traumatic Stress for victims of war or natural disasters,) and will explain
in a moment how our clients achieve truly remarkable
results. First, however, please imagine overhearing
the following conversation between two friends:
Q.
How do you handle anxiety?
A. I don’t know what you’re
talking about. I don’t have any anxiety.
Q. I’m glad to hear that. By the way, how are those headaches
you used to have?
A. My migraines? I seem to live on pain
remedies. You know, it’s the stress of my
job.
Q. That must be awful. I notice you’re
still smoking.
A. About a pack a day. I know I should
quit, but I really enjoy my cigarettes. They relax
me.
Q. Well, I suppose that’s understandable.
By the way, you’re looking good.
A. Are you kidding? I’m 15 pounds above what
I should be. That’s one reason I’m
afraid to
quit smoking. I’d probably gain another
15, like when I stopped drinking.
Q. I forget…when did you give up
alcohol?
A. Two years ago…except for wine.
I enjoy a glass or two of wine at night.
Can’t handle the hard stuff anymore, but
wine really relaxes me.
Q. Well, at least you don’t suffer
from anxiety.
LOOK
THE OTHER WAY?
Anxiety is the most basic negative emotion.
It makes us feel bad. Nobody likes feeling
bad, so it’s natural to want the feeling
to go away. When it doesn’t, we search for
ways to temporarily distract our attention
so we don’t notice the bad feeling for a
while. Smoking, drinking alcohol, overeating,
and mood-altering prescription drugs are distracters
generally accepted in polite society. Less-well-accepted
distracters include street drugs, pornography,
gambling, and illicit sex. When anxiety remains uncorrected, it often
emerges as unexplained fears, phobias, poor self-esteem, lack of confidence,
performance anxieties, or chronic and disabling illness.
SHORT
QUIZ
Before moving on, please answer the following
questions:
1.
What is the single most destructive factor that
keeps athletes from playing up to their full potential?
2. What is the single most limiting factor that
prevents salespeople, doctors, lawyers, teachers,
business owners, or others from reaching their
full earnings potential?
3. What is the single most damaging factor in
developing healthy, meaningful relationships?
4. What is the largest single contributor to obsessive
and destructive behaviors such as alcoholism,
overeating, smoking, or addiction to drugs, gambling,
or sex?
The
answer to all four questions is the same: Negative
emotions. Can you name a single time when
any of the following improved your life? Anxiety,
fear, frustration, anger, or
self-doubt? The truth is that humans experience
only two primary emotions: love and fear,
and these sit at opposite ends of a continuum.
All other emotions represent some mix of these
two. It doesn’t require Tarzan of the Jungle
to tell you: Love good. Fear bad. If
this seems too primitive, read on. Things are
about to get waaay more interesting.
Q.
Okay, I get it. But where do negative emotions
normally exist?
A. In the subconscious mind.
Q. How long have they been there?
A. In many instances, since early childhood.
Q. Who or what put them there?
A. A disruption in the body’s circulating
energy system.

REVOLUTIONARY
DISCOVERY
Bet you weren’t expecting that answer. But
this exciting new discovery is: 1) Revolutionary,
2) Absolutely true, and 3) We prove
it again and again, every day.
Your body has a circulating energy system that
keeps you alive. This energy is being measured,
for example, when you undergo an EEG or MRI.
Psychotherapist Roger Callahan, Ph.D. discovered over 25 years ago
that every traumatic event in your life causes
a disruption in that energy system—some
big, some small. Each disruption—a short
circuit, if you will—remains in place
until something proactive is done to remove it.
Callahan also demonstrated that the disruption in the system--NOT the traumatic
event itself--generates a negative emotion.
It is the short circuits that cause
you to feel anxiety, fear, doubt, frustration,
etc. These feelings often show up as mental or
emotional blocks when you least expect them, such
as during stressful situations, illness, or high-pressure
competition.
POSSIBLE
SOLUTION?
Q. Wait a minute…if somebody could correct
those short circuits, would that take away my
negative emotions? The bad feelings?
A. It would.
Q. Then I wouldn’t need distracters to feel
good? Cigarettes? Sweets? Alcohol?
A. Correct.
Q. So it would be easy to stop smoking, overeating,
drinking, or whatever?
A. Right again.
Q. Hmmm. Has anybody figured out how to remove
those short circuits?
A. Thought you’d never ask.
OUR
METHOD
We first identify, and then remove the short circuits. This quickly
reverses your negative emotions and removes specific fears by balancing,
or re-polarizing the disturbed energy system within
your body. Our unique Anxiety Relief Techniques™
(ART) is fast, painless, and truly revolutionary.
It incorporates the latest developments in quantum
physics, self-hypnosis, and cellular biology, and is modeled on a combination of Dr. Callahan's Thought Field Therapy (TFT) and
Gary Craig's remarkable Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT.) Craig's website includes a free download of his techniques: www.emofree.com.
We often incorporate hypnosis and self-hypnosis
into our method, as well as TAT, an amazing acupressure method
developed by acupuncturist Tapas Fleming. We teach our clients issue-specific imagery while activating
known access pathways to the limbic system (the fear center) of the brain. This is done using gentle fingertip tapping on specific acupressure points.
Sometimes described as a type of
emotional acupressure, this body-mind method reprocesses information stored in the subconscious, and literally unhooks
the hyper-arousal state of anxiety and fear from traumatic events. These methods have proven highly effective in victims of war,
terrorist attacks, and natural disasters. They have proven remarkably successful when applied by volunteers in Rwanda, Cosovo, S. Africa, the Congo, in post-911 survivors, and many other crisis situations.
These methods are so consistently successful that 95% of our clients now experience
complete reversal of their issues during
three sessions of approximately one hour each. Not weeks or months—hours!
To conserve valuable time, we also perform a confidential analysis of a detailed
questionnaire prior to each client's first session. During that session, we take clients through our method, step-by-step
until both we and the client are absolutely certain the method is working for them. In fact, most clients experience
significant, sometimes amazing results during their first telephone session. (Please see DISTANCE SESSIONS on our home page.)
WILL
POWER?
Using sheer will power, you can “white-knuckle
it” for a short while to stop smoking, lose weight, give up
alcohol or tranquilizers or deny phobias, fears, or unwanted behaviors.
People do this all the time.
But will power alone will NOT fix the real problem.
Distracters are symptoms pointing to
some underlying anxiety. If you remove a distracter
without removing the anxiety, you’ll simply
move on to the next available distracter. Why?
Because nobody likes feeling bad.
WHAT
DOES THIS MEAN FOR YOU?
It means that FINALLY somebody will live up to
their promises and actually help you feel better.
In just a few hours, we show you how to remove
the anxiety, limiting beliefs, and mental or emotional
blocks that are holding you back. Once and for
all! Our unique method has proven successful for
all issues mentioned above plus many more.
SCIENTIFIC
RESEARCH
Renowned cellular biologist Dr. Bruce Lipton,
research professor at Stanford University’s
School of Medicine, demonstrated that each cell
of the body communicates with all other cells
through this energy.
Lipton demonstrated that every cell, chemical,
atom and subatomic particle of your body--even
a thought—generates energy. Each is also
affected by the state of the body’s
circulating energy. In turn, the energy system
is influenced by activity within your body--including
your thoughts. As long as all components function
in harmony, the body and mind remain in balance. To function in harmony requires two essential conditions,
an absence of fear, and a normal circulating energy system.
We refer to this balanced state as being healthy—heal-thy.
Following a less than fatal trauma or disease,
the healthy body or mind repairs itself—it
heals. Anything that disturbs a single component,
however, disrupts the balance of all other components
via the energy system.
ZZZZZZZTTTT!
A traumatic event can unbalance the energy system
for the duration of the event, or long afterwards.
While present, such an imbalance prevents the
body or mind from repairing itself. We refer to
this unhealthy, unbalanced state as dis-ease.
The more traumatic the event, the greater and
longer lasting the disturbance. This disturbance
may be likened to a short-circuit in
the energy system of an electric lamp or TV--a
zzzzzzztttt, if you will.
Imagine the distorted picture on a TV screen if
somebody were to randomly jam a screwdriver into
its inner workings—zzzzzzztttt!
That distorted picture is a fairly accurate representation
of how your brain responds to a severe trauma.
Traumatic events can be physical, mental, emotional,
or spiritual. Physical traumas include injury,
accident, surgery, illness, and physical or sexual
abuse. Mental and emotional traumas include
truly frightening experiences (stepping on a snake,)
death of a loved one, major disagreements, failed
expectations in business or personal relationships,
mental abuse, or severe physical traumas.
Spiritual traumas often occur following severe
physical, mental or emotional traumas, causing
people to sever their connection to a higher intelligence--God,
The Buddha, Infinite Intelligence, etc. If not
properly dealt with, severe traumas can disrupt an energy system for life.
Examples of severe traumas are rape, attempted murder, mental, physical, or sexual
abuse, or witnessing the horrors of war or natural
catastrophes.
Permit me to repeat something said earlier:
In every case, the traumatic event itself does
not directly generate the bad feeling. Nor does
the memory of the event cause the negative emotion
to arise. The traumatic event causes a disruption
in the energy system as though someone, figuratively
speaking, had jammed a screwdriver into your brain.
It is this disruption that produces the bad feeling.
The disruption remains bound to the original memory
until something proactive is done to remove it.
Like pulling a screwdriver out of your
TV set, correcting this disruption (pulling the
screwdriver out of your brain) should eliminate
the bad feeling once and for all. Well guess what?
It does! We now know how to “pull those
screwdrivers out” no matter how long they’ve
been jammed in, and the bad feelings simply go
away. The energy flow instantly reverts to normal.
We do this quickly and easily, many times a day.
PSYCHOSOMATIC
ILLNESS & CHRONIC DISEASE
Psyche is the Latin term for mind, while
soma refers to the body. A disrupted
energy system not only causes bad thoughts and
feelings in the mind, it also alters cellular
function and chemicals within the body. Psychosomatic
illness literally means a disease of the body
that originates in the mind. People are talking
about the Mind-Body connection in healing, but
it goes much deeper than most realize. A dis-ease
represents a failure of the body to perform its
natural healing function following any trauma.
This failure results from a disrupted energy system
that affects both the psyche (mind) and soma (body.) Many of these
disruptions are the result of abuses suffered during childhood. Nearly all
can be corrected, regardless of their origin.
Many physicians now believe that virtually ALL
chronic illness is psychosomatic—that is,
the result of thoughts, memories, beliefs, and
negative emotions held in the conscious or
subconscious mind. Incidentally, hypnosis
is extremely helpful for uncovering buried emotions
which typically reside in the subconscious
mind. Feelings of anger, fear, bereavement, hatred,
and guilt may well be underlying causes of a long
list of mystery illnesses.* These include
cancer, rheumatoid arthritis, environmental sensitivity,
multiple sclerosis, autoimmune disease, allergic reactions, fibromyalgia,
hypertension, and on and on. When we understand
that these negative emotions result from a disrupted
energy system, correcting such disruptions becomes
essential before one can hope to prevent or reverse
chronic disease. This has never before been so
thoroughly understood or as easily accomplished
as it is today.
EXTREME STRESS
When utilizing Anxiety Relief Techniques™
, we find that conditions often respond dramatically within a few hours, whereas
formerly they required months
or years of intense therapy and medications. This includes the life-altering stress and anxiety suffered by
victims of war, terrorist attacks, or following natural disasters.
Once learned, our techniques are easily self-administered
at home.
